space 1026 + cannonball press at the MoMA = collaboration
matt and i checked out the space 1026 and cannonball press talk at the MoMA for valentines day. each artist collaboration/studio was invited to speak at the MoMA education center about themselves.
cannonball press had a well articulated keynote presentation w/bulleted points that i still remember (black and whititude, hello) and sample works for show + sell.
space had a video previously viewed by only 1 member, booklets to pass out, and organic conversation amongst the group members which came off as charming and personal.
what i took away most was crystal’s (krystle? sp? sorry) comment on collaboration. you have to be willing to let go of your work and allow others to use it outside of your control. say no to intellectual property! goodbye copyrights, we’re entering the age of collaboration.
an example of where we need some collaboration through letting go of our ideas is on pageonce.

pageonce is an aggregation site that combines your email, bank, netflix, amazon, flight, etc accounts all into 1 place, similar to netlix. comments on a technorati article nicely articulate concerns about the security (both in presence and perception). so many aggregation sites have failed at earning people’s trust, so perhaps instead of trying to find more secure code (though not a bad thing), we should COLLABORATE together to find a better, grander solution. openID + pageonce + ??? = sense of security? idk.
