My brother-in-law Steve found a paper online I wrote almost 3 years ago for an nyu comm. class about the subjectivity of time. Definitely something to be said about permanence. Titled, “Myself and My Culture”, it was a fun (and quick) paper to write.

so i got matt this knife for his birthday. it’s handmade, hand engraved, light, balanced, shipped straight from japan, and totally referenced in kill bill (the dude hattori hanzo). i found that out later. extra bonus. i also got him a tojiro knife. another great japanese brand. i like the hattori so much i think i will get one for myself.

we’re making our annual shirts at bigspaceship. this year’s theme are skulls. luckily lauren had a box of little animal skulls with which i tried to draw, something that proves difficult after spending as much as .75 hours a week actually holding a real pencil.
here’s the picture of the box:

and here is what i ended up with:

they were boring, but it was fun learning how to draw again. i like when everything falls into place in your sketch, that’s a good feeling. that didnt really happen here. good thing for artistic licenses.
here’s what i did for shirts:

it’ll probably be what i turn in because i’ve had over 1 month to do this, it’s due this Fri, and I just started today. eh.

i still use isawny.com frequently, it has some really good recommendations on food, drinks, shopping, and sightseeing in NY by some really good friends at renegade marketing.
